I am a British illustrator living and working near London, UK. Early memories of drawing include a six week emmigration to New Zealand, aged five, on the SS Australis when I used to draw my own travel brochures; winning a drawing competition to celebrate the 1974 Commonwealth Games held in Christchurch; and that's me in the black and white photo winning the Holiday-on-Ice painting competition at Wembley Arena when I was nine.
I followed a path into graphic design as a career and I've been incredibly fortunate to live and work internationally creating brochures, websites and stationery for both corporate clients such as IKEA, Goldman Sachs, Blockbuster and Bentalls, as well as working with private clients.
I combine analogue and digital techniques in my work, using traditional materials such as watercolour, ink, and printmaking combined with digital magic to pull it all together. I now create illustrations for editorial, licensing and designs for my greeting cards brand full-time from a studio in my garden.
I'm a member of the Association of Illustrators and a special lecturer in illustration at Central St Martins University, London. I also teach on Skillshare.
